A quick update as to where we are with the harvest today.  The 500 vines of Muscat, 4000 vines of Grenache Gris and 2000 vines of Grenache noir (ie half) have been hand harvested and are now fermenting in brand new stainless steel mini vats in my wine cellar 'the Vatican' in the village of Tuchan (the Vatican is in Rue du Vatican and hence the name).
But the Vatican wasn't built in a day!  It was pretty rapide though as we decided to make our 2009 vintage on the 19th July 2009 ie 1 month before the grapes needed picking.  The Vatican had no electricity, no floor, no vats but it did have a leaky roof and Roger's tomatoes.
