Happy Annee 2010

And a tres tres happy new annee from the very south of France!  Finally we have snow and ice and it's winding at 100 km but as the man in the village shop said, he knew it was coming because of the thickness of the skins on his onions!  But for those of us who were less prepared it is a bit of a shock to la systeme.

It is not weather for vineyard work so I am turning my hand to making Lemon Curd from Roger's home grown organic lemons.   

Recette pour le Citron Curd

Jus and zest of 3 of Roger's freshly picked lemons
200 g sugar
85 g beurre
3 eggs beaten and seived

Heat everything in a grand bowl over a saucepan of boiling water and keep stirring for 20 minutes until it coats the back of a wooden spoon.
